There's really no other way to say it, auditioning sucks. Acting rules, auditioning sucks and anyone else who says otherwise is, well, ACTING like they like it. They don't. Sure, the final outcome of booking something and working on set is AMAZING but that's not the audition. Moving around your schedule, canceling plans, stressing while you memorize lines while at work cause you get off at 5 and the audition is due at 5:30 and you aren't off book yet. Puke. not for me. Burnout...
That being said, a break from auditioning is necessary at the moment. Why? A lot of reasons. The #1 reason that I can't shake is selfish, as this industry inherently is. I want to get back to making my projects, play more guitar and focus on the stories I know.
